Multi award winning Australian photographer Ian van der Wolde is a successful Melbourne based commercial photographer who specialities include, Advertising, Aerial, Fashion, Food, Corporate, People, Public Relations, Portraiture, Product and Industrial photography. Ian also specialises in digital colour management and fine art printing.

Recognised by industry leading brands, Ian is currently a BenQ Monitor Ambassador, Ilford Master Printer, Ilford Master Photographer, Profoto Ambassador, Profoto certified trainer and X-Rite Coloratti.

Ian was both the Victorian AIPP Landscape Photographer of the Year & Victorian AIPP Illustrative Photographer of the Year in 2012 and in 2017 was again awarded the title Victorian AIPP Landscape Photographer of the Year.

A past National President of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (2002-2004), He was awarded the title “Honorary Fellow” of the AIPP in 2008 and the Institutes highest honour of “Fellow” 10 years later at the 2018 Institute gala dinner. Ian is an AIPP Accredited Master of Photography with 4 Gold Bars. 

As well as running his busy studio Altered Images Photography, Ian continues to contribute to the industry by lecturing at Melbourne’s Swinburne University on a permanent part time basis, mentoring photography college graduates, as a member of the AIPP Honours Committee and as Chairman of the AIPP Compliance Committee.
