She’s started working with her daughter Lena as a second shooter and talks about the lessons she’s learned, posing and directing large groups and the importance of preplanning shoots, the importance of the 1 percenters, creating high-end images using budget gear, using creativity to take her work to the next level and heaps more!

Rebecca Martin

As a mother of eight and a grandmother of eleven, Rebecca Martin knows what it takes to make a photograph of a large family. She enjoys the challenge of working with a variety of people and various ages. Whether it be a family, a couple, a wedding or an individual portrait, Rebecca believes meeting with clients prior to the session is essential to creating meaningful and genuine portraits. Working with and training her daughter in photography has brought great joy. They have photographed multiple weddings together, specializing in the sacramental. Rebecca’s goal as a photographer is, “to capture an image of the innate beauty in each person, event and moment. Each is a unique gift.”

Side note: Rebecca bought her first DSLR using her other super power, her nose. Yes, she has been trained to recognize the notes and intensity of scents for SC Johnson Company (makers of Glad products, etc).
