Sicilian Shepherd Boy

Join Gina on this incredible photoshoot in Sicily.

In this tutorial, you’ll get a unique insight into how Gina works and learn tricks you can apply to your own photography.

“This photoshoot was one of the highlights of my Sicily trip,” Gina says.

The tutorial was filmed in Sant’Angelo Muxaro in rural Sicily where Gina met shepherd boy Angelo and took this incredible shot of him.

This tutorial is not just about lighting. It’s about finding a way to take what you have in a situation and tweak it to make it your own. Prepare to be inspired!

“When I was given the opportunity to photograph Angelo I had many different options I could have tried,” Gina says.

  • Shoot wide and include the sheep
  • Photograph Angelo in action, riding his horse
  • A tight shot of his beautiful face

“But what I had in my head was an image of Angelo holding a sheep and staring me down. When I asked him if he would pose with a sheep he was more than happy to oblige,” Gina says

Our Gold Members rave about this tutorial. There’s no better way to learn than to watch this master of her craft at work in such dramatic surroundings.
